On April 15, 2013, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with Chairman of the Rabbinical Cabinet of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Stuart Weinblatt and Executive Director of National Conference Supporting Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia (NCSJ) Mark Levin.
The parties discussed the results of the visit to Ukraine of the JFNA’s delegation including 33 rabbis from the USA and Canada last February as well as the level of cooperation of Ukraine with the United States and Israel.
Ambassador of Ukraine expressed hope that American Jewish community would use its influence to support European aspirations of Ukraine. Signing of the EU Association and Free Trade Area Agreements in November 2013 would not only promote relations of Ukraine with the European and American partners, but would also serve the interests of Jewish community in Ukraine and abroad.
