On April 20, 2013, the exhibition of paintings by American painter of Ukrainian descent Andriy Kushnir entitled “River Visions” was opened in the fine art gallery “American Painting” in Washington DC. The collection included 40 riverscapes of the Potomac River, painted by the author over the last 18 years.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk visited the exhibition’s opening. In his welcoming remarks, the Ambassador emphasized the mastery of the author and thanked the painter for his significant contribution to the development of the Ukrainian-American relations in the field of culture and art.
Andriy Kushnir is a well-known natural painter. His works are in the public collections of the United States, the Museum of Florida’s Art and Culture, the Maryland University College and numerous private collections around the world.
The author’s exhibitions have been regularly on display at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.
