On May 17, 2013 Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met in Washington with a prominent American policy maker, the United States National Security Advisor under U.S. Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush - Brent Scowcroft.
The parties discussed a number of issues of the Ukraine-U.S. relations, including Ukraine’s European integration, particularly, in the context of preparing for signing Association and Free Trade Zone Agreement between Ukraine and the EU at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November this year.
The meeting was also attended by the first U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine – Roman Popadiuk.
