On June 12, 2013 the representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. took part in the flower-laying ceremony to the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington, DC, annually organized by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, non-governmental educational organization.

The ceremony, dedicated to the sixth anniversary of the Memorial, was attended by members of  U.S. Congress, parliamentarians of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, members of the diplomatic corps of nearly two dozen of countries, representatives of NGOs and national communities.
