On July 17, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with the representatives of Ukrainian community – leaders of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Ukrainian National Association, Providence Association of Ukrainian Catholics in America, clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
During the meeting, Ambassador briefly informed of last developments and prospects of bilateral cooperation as well as political dialogue between Ukraine and the U.S. The sides exchanged their views on some aspects of domestic and foreign policy of Ukraine, in particular, on European integration of Ukraine. O.Motsyk expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian Americans for their consistent support of European integration of Ukraine and signing of the Association and Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the U.S in November, 2013 during Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
The sides also considered a possibility of joining efforts to expand sister city relations, youth exchanges, educational and cultural cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S.
