The first workshop meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian American Community to discuss cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the medical field was held at the Embassy of Ukraine on July 28th, 2011.

The meeting focused on current state and prospects of Ukraine-U.S. cooperation in medical field as well as more enhanced contribution of Ukrainian Americans in this particular field.

Particular attention during the meeting was attached to different aspects of the American experience in the field of medicine and the health care system, which might be introduced during implementation of the health care reform in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Ambassador Olexander Motsyk emphasized that practical cooperation with the Ukrainian American Community in different professional fields would have an important added value for further enhancement of Ukraine-U.S. strategic partnership agenda and further strengthening Ukraine as prosperous, democratic and European state.
