On November 6, 2013, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk, also an Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with residence in the U.S., met with Neil Parsan, Ambassador of this Caribbean island country to the U.S.
At the meeting, the sides expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation between the states, particularly in the economic sphere. In this context, the Ambassadors presented their vision of the possible spheres of such collaboration and discussed the ways in which trade and investment cooperation between the two countries could be promoted. Furthermore, Ambassadors discussed the collaboration in the consular sphere and within the framework of the UN.
Ambassador of Ukraine O.Motsyk informed of export and investment potential of our country, in particular in agriculture, energy, machine building, chemical and steel industry and opportunities for developing joint projects in the sphere of tourism.
Ambassador N.Parsan, in his turn, told about the great potential of Trinidad and Tobago in the spheres of energy, tourism and finance. Also, he invited Ambassador Motsyk and representatives of Ukrainian business community to visit his country in the nearest future.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to consider a possibility of arranging the visit of Ukrainian businesses to Trinidad and Tobago and realization of a number of joint projects in various spheres in the future. The meeting was an important step towards further development of Ukraine-Trinidad cooperation, which demonstrated significant potential for the development of bilateral relations.
