On November 7, 2013 in New York City - one of the most powerful financial and economic centers of the United States of America - Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with the representatives of leading American companies in the spheres of energy, agriculture, high technology, banking and financial sector.
The meeting was organized by the U.S. - Ukraine Business Council, which brings together more than two hundred American and Ukrainian companies working in all sectors of economy.
O.Motsyk briefed the participants on the pace of reforms in Ukraine, specifically, substantial improvement of business and investment climate, current status and prospects for bilateral trade and investment cooperation, and the preparation for signing Free Trade and Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU during the Vilnius summit in November 2013. Following the Ambassador’s remarks entrepreneurs have expressed significant interest in establishing or expanding their business in our country and positively assessed business climate improvement, confirmed by the World Bank rating in October 2013.
The participants were unanimous that the signing of the Association Agreement would dramatically increase the investment attractiveness of Ukraine for foreign companies and provide substantial positive momentum for the growth of bilateral trade.
