Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C., on March 20, 2014.
Representing local self-governments, civic society and educational institutions, they came to America to learn about operations of U.S. governmental and non-governmental sectors. Following the orientation course in Washington DC and familiarization with the U.S. federal government, they will depart to various U.S. cities where they’ll be hosted by local NGO partners.
At the Embassy they were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Olexander Motsyk, and Amb. John O’Keefe, Executive Director of Open World Leadership Center.
Ukrainian Ambassador told the guests about the steps made by U.S. government and Congress to support Ukraine in these difficult times.
