On June 29, 2014, in the course of the quadripartite conference call, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, President of France François Hollande and President of Russia Vladimir Putin discussed the implementation of the peace plan in the Donbas.
In the course of the conversation, the Head of State informed the interlocutors that Ukraine completely fulfills its commitments on the implementation of the peace plan in accordance to the decision of the European Council and unilaterally complies with the ceasefire regime proclaimed until June 30, 22:00. Also, the President expressed concern over the situation and noted that in the course of the last days, more facts of ceasefire regime violation by insurgents have been recorded. Petro Poroshenko emphasized that all the parties must comply with the ceasefire regime.
The President of Ukraine urged to comply with the terms of the peace plan, stop the attacks on the Ukrainian military units and roadblocks and release all the hostages.
Ukraine continues to insist on the return under the control of the State Border Service of all the checkpoints. The Ukrainian President also called on the Russian President to enhance the regime of state border by Russia in order to stop the flow of insurgents and mercenaries to Ukraine and the supply of arms and armored vehicles for them.
Following the discussion, the President instructed the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine to immediately hold consultations with the Federal Border Service of Russia to ensure the mechanism of efficient control over the Ukrainian-Russian border.
The parties agreed to hold a phone conversation in the given format on June 30. In addition, the arrangement has been achieved on the necessity of further work of Trilateral contact group.
The first quadripartite conference call was held on June 25, 2014.
