Petro Poroshenko noted that Ukraine is a great state the history of which is being written by true heroes. The foundation of the order of Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya who cleared the state of an infamous totalitarianism obliges us to build a new powerful state responsibly.

The document stipulates that the order of Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya will be awarded for the civil courage, patriotism, upholding the constitutional principles of democracy, human rights and freedoms, active charity, humanitarian and social activities in Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people during the Revolution of Dignity and other measures related to the protection of independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Also, the Law provides for respective instructions for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, particularly on the holding of the nationwide contest for the best design of the order of Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya and the production of attributes of this national award.
