On July 2, 2014, the Embassy of Ukraine hosted a meeting of Minister-Counselor Yaroslav Brisiuck with the participants of the Global Young Leaders Conference.
High school students from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Jordan, India, Lithuania, Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, Philippines and the U.S. took part in the event. Deputy Chief of Mission Brisiuck told them about Ukraine’s history, Ukraine-American relations, Embassy operations and the historic building of Embassy’s chancery, as well as Ukraine’s response to the current situation caused by the Russian aggression. His remarks were followed by Q&A session.
The Global Young Leaders Conference has taken place annually for the last 26 years. High school students aged from 15 to 18 years representing over 100 countries visit the U.S. for 10 days to meet global leaders and develop their leadership skills.
