Petro Poroshenko held phone conversations with Barack Obama and Joseph Biden

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held phone conversations with President of the United States Barack Obama and Vice President of the United States Joseph Biden in the course of which he expressed condolences to American people over the death of American citizens in the crash of Malaysia Airlines aircraft over the territory of Donetsk region.

Petro Poroshenko informed the American party on conversations with Prime Ministers of the Netherlands and Malaysia and said that he had invited experts of these countries, as well as the ICAO experts to join the full-scale investigation of the circumstances of the given tragedy.

In response, President Obama stated that the given tragedy had shocked the whole world. He commended the willingness of Ukraine to carry out maximally transparent international investigation of reasons and circumstances of the tragedy. In his turn, Joseph Biden noted that the call for international investigation was a wise decision and that the United States would consider the possibility of sending American experts from the Transportation Security Administration.

The President and the Vice President of the USA expressed readiness to further coordinate international efforts on the investigation of circumstances of the disaster.
