On March, 10, 2011, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olexander Motsyk met with a group of professionals from Ukraine who visit the U.S. as participants of the «Accountable Government» Program organized by the Open World Leadership Center.
The group from Ukraine includes members of regional legislatures, government officials, teachers, businessmen and lawyers who represent almost all regions of our country. The Program’s agenda envisages trips to Washington, D.C., as well as to Arizona, California, Georgia and Illinois.
In remarks delivered in the Library of Congress Ambassador Motsyk briefed the Ukrainian group on the recent developments and further prospects of the U.S.-Ukraine relations. He also thanked sponsors of the Program for their assistance provided to public servants and legislators from Ukraine in adopting best U.S. practices of good governance. A special note was put to the necessity of energizing people-to-people contacts and further development of sister-cities programs.
