On August 4, 2014, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with Kirill Reznik, member of the House of Delegates of the General Assembly of Maryland (Democrat, Montgomery County).
K.Reznik was elected to Maryland Legislature in October 2007. He was born in Kyiv, but soon moved with his family to the United States, where he received degree in international relations and started his professional career.
During the meeting, Ambassador Motsyk informed about the recent developments in Ukraine in the context of the ongoing Russian aggression. In addition, the possibilities of expanding bilateral cooperation on the regional level - in particular, between the state of Maryland and one of the regions of Ukraine, - were discussed.
Mr. Reznik, in his turn, invited the Ambassador to visit the Maryland legislature to have a more profound discussion on the prospects of bilateral regional projects, as well as Ukrainian-American cooperation in other priority areas.
