In his welcoming address Charge d'Affaires ad Interim Yaroslav Brisiuck briefed the guests of the Embassy on current developments in the East of Ukraine. The chief of Ukraine’s diplomatic mission to the United States of America stressed that Ukraine is committed to peaceful settlement in compliance with Minsk Agreements, which are continuously violated by the Russian Federation. He highlighted the importance of the international support and global solidarity with Ukraine.

Journalist for more than 25 years, Mr. Askold Krushelnycky (worked as a foreign correspondent for The Independent, The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday and Chicago Tribune as well as Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty) presented his documentary about the 37^th Zaporizhsky Territorial Volunteer Battalion. A.Krushelnycky shared his personal impressions about the developments in Ukraine, which he witnessed since November 2013 until the current days. His presentation was illustrated also by a photo exhibition about volunteers defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.

Dr. Vitalij Garber, who has extensive defense and military experience with US DOD and NATO, gave his own comment on recent developments and the international support to Ukraine.

The charitable event was attended by the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine.
