Taking part in the event were Ukraine’s Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn, Minister of Infrastructure Andriy Pyvovarsky, Chairman of 'Naftogaz Ukraine' Andriy Kobolev, Head of State Property Fund Ihor Bilous, and Head of State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov.

For the United States, the meeting was attended by co-chairs of the Ukraine Caucuses, chairs and members of the Senate and House foreign affairs, armed services, budget and appropriations, business and entrepreneurship committees, a group of other U.S. lawmakers representing both the Republican and Democratic parties. The high representation of U.S. Senators and Congressmen in the meeting emphasized once again the high degree of attention Ukraine continues to receive on the Hill.

The delegation from Ukraine briefed the Senators and Congressmen on the latest developments in Donbas, as well as on the progress in reforms implementation, and called on the U.S. lawmakers to continue to support Ukraine, including by passing legislation to assist the country’s economy and strengthen its military capabilities, as well as promote the U.S.-Ukraine business cooperation.

The U.S. Senate and House members reiterated their readiness to render further support to Ukraine in the face of the continuing Russian aggression, and to continue to put forward legislative initiatives aimed at providing Ukraine with political, financial, and defensive assistance.
