On July 14, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pyvovarsky and Under Secretary of the US Department of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Catherine A. Novelli signed an Open Skies agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America.
The Open Skies agreement will serve to eliminate government interference in commercial airline decisions about routes, capacity, and pricing and allow carriers to provide more affordable, convenient, and efficient air service for consumers. It will promote increased travel and trade, enhance productivity, and spur high-quality job opportunities and economic growth.
