On September 3, 2015 at the Embassy of Ukraine to the United States Ambassador Valeriy Chaly met with members of the US-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC).
The Ambassador discussed with businessmen the current situation in Ukraine, summarizing reforms results and processing new opportunities for trade, economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in 2015-2016.
Valeriy Chaly informed participants about the current situation in Ukraine, President’s initiatives, Ukrainian Government’s activity in 2015, and economic policy priorities within the President’s "2020 Reforms Strategy". The Ambassador thanked the USUBC and its members for their support of the Ukrainian people in this difficult time. Valeriy Chaly also admitted the significant role of the American business in expanding the U.S. assistance to Ukraine.
Morgan Williams, President of the USUBC, moderated the meeting with business. He underlined Council’s effective cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine, particularly in the frames of bilateral economic relations development, diversifying the Ukraine's exports, attraction and protection of the U.S. investments and consolidating support of Ukraine within the American business community.
25 representatives of the leading U.S. companies participated in the meeting, including: Cargill, Monsanto, AGCO, DuPont, Archer Daniels Midland, Bunge, Citi, CNH International, Holtec International and others.
