The Embassy of Ukraine in the U.S. hosted a Ukrainian delegation of NGO representatives, volunteers, human rights advocates, social workers and officials who visit the United States on the Open World program of professional exchanges.
Welcoming the Open World delegates Ambassador Valeriy Chaly emphasized a special role that is currently played by social workers and volunteers especially in dealing with one and a half of IDPs and helping wounded Ukrainian soldiers.
Ambassador Chaly also dwelled on the Ukrainian agenda during its non-permanent membership at the UN Security Council, where human right issues, especially a special emphasis to the ongoing violation of human rights in Crimea, will be among the priorities.
