It is our distinct honor to invite you to dedication ceremony of the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide (Holodomor) Memorial in Washington DC.
The Memorial was built with joint efforts of the Ukrainian state and the Ukrainian diaspora in the U.S. in tribute to the millions of Ukrainians, who were forcibly starved to death in 1932-1933 by the Soviet regime under the leadership of Josef Stalin.
The Memorial unveiling will take place at 2pm on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Columbus Circle (in front of Union Station) attended by thousands of people from American and Ukrainian communities, government officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
Please also find below a flyer of events surrounding the unveiling ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend any/all of the events.
It would be a true honor to welcome you at the commemoration ceremonies, as it would amplify our effort to tell the world about this crime against humanity commited by the Soviet regime and to prevent atrocities of that scale from happening ever again. Your attendance would also demonstrate a very strong support of the Ukrainian people, who are still fighting for their freedom and independence.
