Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly inaugurates the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Seattle

On February 7th, Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Seattle is officially opened in Seattle. Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Valeriy Chaly and recently appointed Honorary Consul Valeriy Goloborodko took part in the opening ceremony.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Valeriy Chaly underlined that establishment of Honorary Consulate will be an additional impulse for developing closer ties between Ukraine and the State of Washington. According to the Ambassador, Ukraine and the EvergreenState have a remarkable potential for further cooperation in economic, cultural and educational fields.
Valeriy Chaly highlighted the role of Ukrainian Diaspora of the State of Washington in support of Ukraine at the time of unprecedented challenges and expressed his assurance that the newly inaugurated Honorary Consulate will open a new page in promoting interests of Ukrainian people in the States of Washington and Oregon.
