Parties had constructive discussions on mutually beneficial cooperation of Microsoft with Ukrainian IT-companies.

Ambassador Valeriy Chaly underlined that Ukraine is one of the world’s top innovative countries. Ukrainian IT professionals are working with the leading Hi-Tech American companies; thousands of Ukrainian IT genius are involved in developing of new software products in the State of Washington, working for Microsoft Corporation and establishing promising start-ups with American partners.

According to Ambassador, Ukraine’s information technology (IT) sector has significant potential to become a major export-oriented industry of Ukraine.

Both sides agreed that Ukraine and Microsoft have a huge field for further development. Microsoft’s representatives stressed that the corporation is ready for more active involvement in Ukraine’s intention to unlock its full potential through innovations and to develop strong knowledge economy.

During the meeting were discussed the promising issues of intensifying cooperation in the field of cyber security. Ambassador Chaly welcomed Microsoft’s innovative ideas for the protection of state information that would help to resist growing threats to Ukraine. The sides agreed that cooperation with Microsoft would strengthen cybersecurity of Ukraine.
