Hromadske Radio has been awarded a travel grant from the US Embassy in Ukraine. Their visit scheduled with the assistance of the US NGO of local Ukrainians "Razom" included New York City and Washington, DC and envisaged the detailed study of  the New York Public Radio (NYPR) and National Public Radio (NPR) experience.

During the meeting the Ambassador of Ukraine emphasized the importance of such studying tours to the different regions of the US for Ukrainian journalists and the need to have introductory visits for American journalists to Ukraine to give them chance to learn more about our country. Valeriy Chaly assured that the Embassy is ready to support every interesting initiative and project on rasing awareness about Ukraine.

The Ambassador of Ukraine proposed to launch the initiative "Successful Ukrainian Americans" to promote success stories of Ukrainians who live in the United States. We urge our followers to support this initiative by sending relevant information to our mailbox [email protected].
