They discussed further bilateral defense and military-technical cooperation. Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze thanked the United States for its support of the defense reform in Ukraine.
The sides also positively acknowledged the provisions for $350 million in security assistance for Ukraine in the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2017, passed in the House last week.
Robert O. Work highly assessed Ukraine’s achievements in implementing the defense reform. He emphasized on the continuation of the unwavering support to Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity, as also stipulated by the increase in security assistance to Ukraine up to $350 million in the NDAA 2017.
The parties agreed to carry on the positive dynamics of the bilateral contacts.
