In the new year a good Embassy’s tradition to meet with Open World delegates from Ukraine who visit the US is continued. The last meeting was a special event dedicated to the 25^thanniversary of the Ukraine-US diplomatic relations that is observed in 2017.

In his address to Embassy’s guests – representatives of Ukrainian and the US legislative and executive authorities, Ambassador of Ukraine to the US Valeriy Chaly urged Ukrainian delegation to use meetings, which were planned for them in California, Nebraska, New York and South Carolina, for raising higher awareness about the recent developments in Ukraine in the context of counteracting Russian aggression in the Donbas region and attempted Russian occupation of Ukrainian Crimea

Valeriy Chaly expressed his gratitude to Executive Director of the Open World Leadership Center Ambassador John O'Keefe for his devoted work on the development of the US-Ukraine relations, including his personal contribution to the establishment of the US Embassy in Ukraine. The Ambassador of Ukraine presented to Ambassador O’Keefe a souvenir from the Embassy of Ukraine – special edition Ukrainian watch dedicated to the 25^th anniversary of the Ukraine-Us diplomatic relations.
