Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America Valeriy Chaly met with Secretary-General of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) Stephan Romaniw, who is on a working visit to the United States.

Ambassador and Secretary-General shared their views on current state of cooperation between Ukraine and the Ukrainian community around the world.
Noting the key role played by the UWC in protecting the interests of Ukraine on the international arena, Valeriy Chaly stressed on the readiness of our country to continue the cooperation with the Ukrainian World Congress, in particular on the issue of the international recognition of Holodomor 1932-33 as a genocide against Ukrainian people.
Mr.Michael Sawkiw, Chairman of the US Holodomor Committee also participated in the meeting.
