Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Valeriy Chaly held a meeting with Governor of California Edmund Brown.
The discussion evolved around the ways of further bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the state of California which was ranked the fifth among the world's largest economic centers. The parties also underscored the mutual interest in developing of projects in such prospective fields as aircraft building industry, IT, nuclear power engineering, bioengineering, etc.
Ambassador and Covernor also discussed the role and place of the large Ukrainian community living in California.
Valeriy Chaly underscored that he highly valued the strong support over Ukraine in the state of California. In the context of the 85th anniversary of the 1932-1933 Holodomor in Ukraine, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of adoption by the state of California a resolution recognizing this tragedy as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
