On October 10th, 2012, Ambassador of Ukraine to the US Olexander Motsyk visited the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The Ambassador of Ukraine participated in the «Ukraine and Europe» seminar for graduate and postgraduate students of international relations and delivered a lecture «Ukraine in Global Politics: Relations with Russia, Europe, and the U.S.» followed by a discussion of topical subjects of foreign policy of our country with the faculty and students of the University.
Also, Olexander Motsyk reviewed the collection of Ukrainian literature of the UNC Library, and donated to the collection poems by Taras Shevchenko in Ukrainian and English, as well as several books on monuments of Ukraine and Kyiv.
During the meeting with leadership of the University, the establishment of partnership in science and education between the UNC and Ukrainian universities was discussed.
During his visit to North Carolina, Olexander Motsyk also had a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora of the state.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a public university located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States.
