The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine has recently launched a new program of monitoring major Ukrainian TV Channels on a weekly basis to measure a level of presence of various political parties participating in the parliamentary elections to be held on October 28, 2012.
The monitoring covers major national TV channels including: Inter, 1+1, ICTV, STB, Ukraine, First National, Novyi Channel, and Channel 5.
Monitoring findings for the period of October 1-7, 2012, prove that the broadcasting time covering opposition parties on the Ukrainian television is 11% more than that of government officials and pro-government parties.
