On November 1st, 2012, Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C.
They were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine in the USA Olexander Motsyk, who told them about Ukraine-American relations, as well as about the history of Embassy’s chancellery building. His speech was followed by remarks by Amb. John O’Keefe, Executive Director of Open World Leadership Center.
The participants of the program, representing educational and research institutions from various regions of Ukraine, will visit US regions. Since 1999, the Open World Program has provided opportunities for participants, in particular, from several countries of Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, to acquaint themselves with American model of governance and establish contacts with US counterparts.
