On the Enthronement Rite of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony as a Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the U.S.

On January 26, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine Olexander Motsyk participated in the Divine Liturgy and Enthronement Rite of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony as a Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the U.S., which took place at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Silver Spring, MD.
The Enthronement services were attended by Metropolitan Yuriy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, Most Rev. Metropolitan Stefan Soroka of Ukrainian Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia, hierarchs and clergy from Greek, Romanian, Serbian Orthodox Churches and the Apostolic Nunciature to the U.S., as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Ukrainian American community.
During the ceremony, Ambassador of Ukraine read out greetings of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara to Metropolitan Anthony and wished His Eminence further achievements in his important spiritual mission in the interests of Ukrainians as well as Ukrainian-American relationship.
