The Embassy, together with Ukraine House and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), hosted a celebration of the 34th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.

Over 500 distinguished guests—members of Congress, U.S. Administration officials, diplomats, representatives of international financial institutions, American businesses, the Ukrainian community, and media—joined the event.

We are grateful to the speakers for their inspiring words of support and encouragement to keep strengthening Ukraine’s path to peace and freedom: Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser; Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the EBRD; Conor Coleman, Head of Investments at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation; and Eric P. Luhmann, Chair of the USUBC Executive Committee and Director at Amsted Rail Company.

Ambassador Oksana Markarova thanked Ukraine's partners for their strong cooperation and steadfast support: “We are deeply grateful to our American friends for standing with us, supporting our sovereignty, and defending the shared values of democracy and dignity.”
