During his working visit to Ottawa for the G7 Parliamentary Summit, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, met with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the United States for its steadfast support of Ukraine — especially crucial now, as Russia continues daily missile and drone attacks. We deeply value the decisions of Congress to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and President Donald Trump’s determination to bring an end to Russia’s aggression.

The Speakers discussed the path to a just and lasting peace, effective security guarantees for Ukraine, and the urgent need to return Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia.
