President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation of the United States Congress that is on a visit to Ukraine.
The Head of State thanked the congressmen for the visit and noted that they had arrived in Kyiv after an extremely powerful and critically important decision for us.
The President told the congressmen that he had spoken on the phone with U.S. President Joseph Biden before their meeting. The heads of state discussed, in particular, the possibility of speeding up the provision of a military assistance package to Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail macro-financial and military assistance, including the need for artillery shells, long-range missiles, electronic warfare and UAVs, combat aircraft, and support for the development of the Ukrainian defense industry.
They also focused on the confiscation of frozen Russian assets, support for Ukraine on its path to NATO, security commitments, the Ukrainian Peace Formula, and U.S. participation in the inaugural Peace Summit.
For their part, the congressmen assured that they would continue to stand with the people of Ukraine in this fight against Russian aggression for the ideals of peace, goodness, and democracy.
