On 28 November Ambassador Оксана Маркарова joined Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk at the meeting with James Cowan, the Chief Executive Director of the world's largest humanitarian demining organization The HALO Trust, and discussed the priority tasks for improving work efficiency from demining in Ukraine. As of today, the HALO Trust has more than 100 teams working in five regions of Ukraine: Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia.

Ambassador also joined Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, who is currently in Washington DC with a working visit, at the Wilson Centerʼs book launch "The Arts of War: Ukrainian Artists Confront Russia" by the Distinguished Fellow of the Center Blair A. Ruble, and opened the exhibition "Culture Fights Back", created under the auspices of MFA of Ukraine, Ukrainian Institute - Український інститут, Ukrainer in English.
