Ukrainian participants of the Open World Program visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C., on April 24, 2013.
The participants, judges and legal professionals from Odesa and Odesa region, visited Baltimore, MD, a sister city of Odesa from 1975. While in America, Ukrainian lawyers studied American legal system and democratic governance.
They were welcomed by Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk, and Ambassador John O’Keefe, Executive Director of Open World Leadership Center.
Since 1999, the Open World Program has provided opportunities for participants from ex-Soviet countries to acquaint themselves with American model of governance and establish contacts with U.S. counterparts.
