On May 9, 2013, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met in the U.S. Senate with Chairman of Subcommittee on European Affairs of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Senator Chris Murphy.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of the Ukraine-U.S. cooperation, in particular in the spheres of non-proliferation, international security, energy and energy security, agriculture and investments.
Both parties noted a high level of the current relations between Ukraine and the United States and emphasized the potential for their further development.
L.Kozhara informed the U.S. Senator of the work aimed at signing the Association and Free Trade Agreement with the EU this November and expressed hope for the support of Ukraine’s European aspirations by the United States.
