On January 19, 2012, the Embassy of Ukraine to the United States of America hosted the “Gerdan” ensemble concert, organized by the Culture and Information Center of the Embassy of Ukraine in association with the International Club of DC. The concert was dedicated to 20th anniversary of US-Ukraine diplomatic relations.

In her welcoming remarks, Head of the Culture and Information Center Ms.Vladyslava Bondarenko briefly told the audience about major achievements of Ukraine over the last 20 years, US-Ukraine cooperation, as well as history, culture and traditions of Ukrainian people.

“Gerdan” ensemble brilliantly performed classical music pieces as well as lovely Ukrainian folk compositions.

Guests of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission visited the permanent exhibitions of Andriy Kushnir paintings, Igor Grechanyk sculptures and “Scythian Gold” holograms, watched the video about Ukraine and enjoyed Ukrainian traditional cuisine.
