On June 9th, 2011 the Ambassador of Ukraine Olexander Motsyk attended the Forth Annual Commemoration Ceremony and Wreath Laying to the Victims of Communism Memorial in Washington D.C.

The Ceremony, which has been organized by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, gathered together U.S. official representatives, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, in particular from Ukraine, Angola, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Slovakia, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations.

By laying wreath, together with other participants of the ceremony, the Ambassador of Ukraine paid tribute to millions of innocent victims, including Ukrainians, who suffered from totalitarian regimes.
