On June 4, 2014, the Embassy hosted a meeting with students from Eaton elementary school of Washington, DC.
Ambassador Olexander Mostyk told the kids about the Embassy operations and its historic chancery.
Eaton ES students studied Ukrainian culture and history during the year, as well as represented Ukraine at the annual Mini United Nations organized in DC. They presented an improvised alphabet they’ve made with each letter representing a unique Ukrainian feature. They also reviewed the Embassy’s exhibition of pysankas and Ukrainian dolls. Afterwards, the little guests were invited to a sweet buffet.
The cooperation of the Embassy with Eaton elementary school takes place in the framework of program of cooperation implemented together with District of Columbia Public Schools.
