On April 12, 2011 Ukrainian Ambassador Olexander Motsyk met with Secretary-General of the Ukrainian World Congress Stephan Romaniw, who is paying a working visit to the United States.

Ambassador and UWC Secretary-General shared views on current state of cooperation between Ukraine and the Ukrainian community abroad. They expressed their support to the soonest adoption in Ukraine of the State Program on Cooperation with Ukrainians Abroad till 2015.

The discussion focused especially on further joint efforts aimed at construction of the Holodomor Memorial in Washington D.C.
