On July 8, 2014, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olexander Motsyk met with Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Bob Corker (R-TN).
During the meeting, the Ambassador informed about developments in Ukraine and implementation of the Peace Plan of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, thanked the United States for supporting Ukraine and expressed hope for further assistance on the part of the U.S. and Europe in countering Russian aggression and propaganda as well as introducing sectoral sanctions at an early date against the Russian Federation.
In his turn, Senator Corker expressed his support to our country, marked Ukraine’s significant potential and emphasized on resolve of the United States to continue providing assistance to Ukraine in addressing internal and external challenges.
Senator Corker authored draft bill S.2277 “Russian Aggression Prevention Act”.
