February 03, 2011, the Ukrainian diplomatic mission hosted a Literary Evening with American writers Debra Di Blasi, Mіchael Martone, Davis Schneiderman, as well as Ukrainian American writer and poet Yuriy Tarnawsky. The readings were organized by the Embassy of Ukraine Cultural and Information Center together with the Association of Writers & Writing Programs.

The guests of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission were presented with short biographies of the participating authors and had the pleasure of hearing readings from their selected works. In the course of his presentation Ukrainian American writer and poet Yuriy Tarnawsky made short presentation on modern Ukrainian literature.

After the readings the attendants of the cultural event were able to ask authors questions and discuss literary issues while enjoying a glass of wine.
