On January 26, 2011, Ambassador of Ukraine Olexander Motsyk met with the U.S. Representative and Co-chair of the Ukrainian Congressional Caucus Marcy Kaptur of Ohio.

The discussion was focused on the promotion of the Ukrainian-American Strategic Partnership, including the development of cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada and the U.S. Congress.

The sides have discussed the necessity of further facilitation of contacts between the U.S. and Ukrainian governmental and non-governmental institutions, giving a special mention to new initiatives within the activities of the Ukrainian Congressional Caucus.

Ambassador Motsyk praised Congresswoman Kaptur for her contribution to the Ukrainian-American relations, as well as for her personal involvement and active role in the Ukrainian Congressional Caucus, and expressed appreciation for her commitment to Ukraine’s further development as a European democratic nation.
