Series of concerts of classic music delivered by Ukrainian violist Oleksiy Semenenko took place in the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA

On October 6, 2015, Ukraine’s defenders: Colonel Ihor Hordiychuk – the Hero of Ukraine, Mykola Bereza, Vadym Mazhnychenko and Vadym Svyrydenko, who are currently on medical rehabilitation program in the USA after being severely wounded during the counterterrorism operation at the Donbas region, were the guests of honor of the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA at the concert of classic music.
The performance was delivered by Ukrainian violist Oleksiy Semenenko and pianist Inna Firsova and was highly acclaimed by almost 100 American guests of the Embassy. In May 2015, Oleksiy Semenenko won the second prize at the international Queen Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium, which is considered to be one of the most challenging and prestigious.
The concerts on October 6 and 7 were organized in the historic building of the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA (http://usa.mfa.gov.ua/en/embassy/history) in cooperation with The Embassy Series.
