On October 28, 2015 Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly met with acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Elissa Slotkin.
The Ambassador and acting Assistant Secretary discussed the current and perspective bilateral security and defense cooperation, the situation in Ukraine with a special empasis on Donbas and implementation of the Minsk arrangements. They also exchanged views on results of the local elections of October 25, 2015.
Valeriy Chaly and Elissa Slotkin also discussed prepations to the next round of the Bilateral Defense Policy Consultations that will take place in the upcoming week in Kyiv.
The interlocutors agreed to further coordinate efforts towards strengthening the bilateral security cooperation.
