On October 30, 2015, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly met with a delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Inna Sovsun, while on a visit the United States under the program of the Ukrainian Standardized External Testing Initiative Legacy Alliance.
During the meeting the parties discussed in depth the functioning of the external independent testing system in our country, launched with the U.S. assistance. They also exchanged views on the ways of Go Global program implementation that makes learning English one of the priorities of the Ukraine’s development strategy.
The key objectives of the bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education were outlined at the meeting including securing the U.S. support for the implementation of Master’s Degree Programs in Ukrainian Universities taught in English; participation of U.S. volunteers in Ukrainian school summer camps; as well as rebuilding of the education infrastructure in east Ukraine.
