On May 30, 2012, the Embassy of Ukraine in the U.S. hosted a meeting with students from Hyde-Addison school of Washington, DC. Ambassador Olexander Motsyk told the kids about the Embassy and history of its building, while the students, who studied Ukrainian culture and history during the year, showed a real Ukrainian gopak dance and read poems they wrote about Ukraine. They also reviewed the Embassy’s exhibition of pysankas and Ukrainian dolls. Afterwards, all guests were invited to a sweet buffet.
The cooperation of the Embassy with Hyde-Addison school takes place in the framework of program of cooperation implemented together with District of Columbia Public Schools.
