December 2, 2015, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly had a meeting with Chairman of the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives Hal Rogers.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the currently ongoing appropriations process and Ukraine’s interests in this regard, inter alia, concerning the appropriation of funds for loan guarantees and military equipment, including defensive lethal, for our country.
Ambassador Chaly underscored the importance of a continued U.S. financial support of Ukraine also in medium and long-term perspective, including by making additional resources available for Ukraine in the 2016-2017 budget years to help Ukraine increase her defense capabilities, implement reforms and tackle the acute humanitarian issues.
Chairman Rogers assured Ukraine’s Ambassador of his continued support for our country.
